Is it possible to be wearing something and seem more naked than when fully nude? At the Keyhole Sessions, like Dr. Sketchy’s, the models come accessorized, but here the costumes mostly consist of some rope. Yes, that’s right, we’ve got Rope Bondage Figure Drawing going on in our fair city! The Keyhole Sessions take place every Tuesday, between 8 and 10, at 100 Ossington between Queen and Dundas. Cover is 12 bucks per session, but if you buy 5 sessions in advance you get a discount. For more information, as well as a small gallery to give you an idea of what your in for, check out their website at:
As always, if you’re thinking about going, send me an email at stefanvalent@yahoo.com. As long as I’m not tied up that night I’d be happy to join in!
And if there’s anyone who reads this who can think of a professional application for having rope bondage figure drawing in your portfolio, I need to know.
Hmmm Stephan… I think I’m picking up on a theme here… bondage, burlesque… what’s next, dare I ask? I’m definitely hoping to join you for one of these soon. I’ll let you know!
There has been a weird rise in this sort of thing: I’m sure two years ago you would have had a hard time finding anyone who’d even heard of “Alternative Figure Drawing,” now they seem more common than regular life drawing class! I hear there are classes in Parkdale put on by circus performers…
I also know, though, that the Gladstone has been doing normal life drawing for over 50 (Yes, 50) years now. I haven’t gone to that one yet, want to go?
And speaking of Keyhole Sessions: They’re going to be doing an all-night figure drawing sessions during Nuit Blanche! More info on their site!
Поздравляю, отличная мысль…
